Students will receive a complementary trial lesson in order to evaluate the student’s technical and knowledge level

Individual rates

• 30 minutes – $35
• 45 minutes – $45
• 60 minutes – $50

Monthly rates

• 30 minute monthly – $120
• 45 minute monthly – $155
• 60 minute monthly – $175

Billing

• Cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle are accepted. If any considerations are needed for budget reasons, please let me know and we can discuss further

Ages and location

• Students of all ages are welcome (recommended age for student starting lessons is 7 years old) – lessons are hosted at my Northside Richmond home

Required instruments

• Piano/keyboard
  • Weighted keys (88 keys; 73 keys is the minimum requirement)
• Guitar
  • Acoustic or electric (6 strings)

Performance/recital

• Recitals are not mandatory (none currently scheduled for spring 2026), but students are encouraged to find performance opportunities within various school and community functions. Recording videos for social media can also be considered performance

Requirements for student

• Minimum practice time should correspond to weekly lesson time. For example, a student with a 30 minute lesson should practice 30 minutes each day. However, time practiced isn’t always effective if focus and discipline are not applied. For this reason, multiple shorter practice sessions can be more effective
• Students should expect to pay $10-20 up front for lesson books
• Fingernails must be short in order to play with proper technique. Hands will also need to be clean and washed before each lesson
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours are allowed only in the event of sickness or emergency. Please contact me as soon as possible to re-schedule the lesson
